Altiarus winced as he looked at his new challenge. "Doesn't look good to me, that thing being all fresh and myself being a bloody mess...ah well, I'll be fine..."
He panted heavily and with a sluggish heave brought his sword onto his shoulder, then slowly began to run towards the Tonadu, accelerating quickly and tried delivering a quick and hard strike at it.

Getting out of its cage and flying towards its enemy, the bird flew high as it noticed an incoming attack to avoid all harm.
-0% HP to Tonadu (a miss)
Then, its sight fixed upon its opponent, the Tondau dove with its claw drawn forward, landing a massive blow on him.

Sliding on the ground and finally hitting the arena wall, Altiarus coughed out a huge quantity of blood. The claws had definitely break a few bones and blood also dripped down from his head, covering his eyes and blocking his vision.
"Damn it, damn it, damn it! I cannot fail...even if it's only a scratch, I will hit you at least once!"
Using his sword to balance himself, Altiarus slowly stood back up and, with a berserk roar, charge at the aerial creature with the last of his strength. Jumping up a step before reaching it, he thrust his sword forward for a stab.

Backing up, the bird was able to avoid any serious damage, apart from a scratch to its leg.
-4% HP to Tonadu
Staying in mid-air, the bird flapped its wings at its opponent, creating a wind burst, which only made him fall for minimal damage.

Dropping down onto one knee to steady himself, Altiarus waited out the gale and rises back up as quickly as possible, then after wobbling slightly from dizziness, he once again jumped and this time tried a horizontal slash at the Tondau.

Just as it was ready to dive in again, its opponent was ahead of the bird, as he slashed viciously at it.
-13% HP to Tonadu (critical hit)
Backing up for a few seconds in order to regroup, the bird set out again at its enemy, its claw drawn, and hit him before he landed on his feet.
