Altiarus looked at the Grunt disdainfully while standing arrogantly. "This is my challenge? What pathetic creature...die you pitiful excuse of life!" With that, he quickly dashed towards the Grunt and took a swipe at it.

The Grunt had barely got out when its opponent rushed towards it with his weapon drawn. It got away from a serious wound, but just at the last second.

Regaining its stance and clarity, the Grunt returned an attack, but was unable to cause enough damage.

"Tsk...not even a scratch..." Altiarus eyed the claw mark on his arm for a second, then smirked at the Grunt. "If that's the best you can do, then I'll win in no time."
With a quick twist of his hand, Altiarus aimed another swipe at the Grunt without much effort.

Now that it was ready, avoiding the attack was easier. The Grunt rolled backwards with no harm.

Silently cursing about his miss, Altiarus easily dodged the beams with a few twist of his body, then after the attack passed he quickly closed the gaps between the Grunt himself with an overhead strike aimed towards it, hoping to deal a more damaging blow at it.

The Grunt was ready for a front attack, but his opponent surprised him with an overhead one. All it could do was taking a step sideways, making its shoulder receive the damage.

Shouting in pain, the Grunt took a step back, then hurled towards its enemy, but missed him horribly and eventually fell down on the ground.

With a heave of his weapon Altiarus brought it down towards the downed form of the Grunt.

Flat on the ground, the Grunt was defenseless and had no way to dodge the upcoming attack. All it could do is roar in pain.

Altiarus merely moved his leg slightly back to cause the Grunt to missed it attack. Staring at the disoriented creature with glee, he aimed for it with a power strike, hoping to end this quickly.

Somehow, the Grunt managed to roll sideways and avoid the attack almost completely, apart from a flesh scratch.

This was easy for the Grunt to dodge. All he had to do is lay flat and roll sideways.

Now able to regain its stance, the Grunt stood up and was now the one rushing for a forward lunge. It hit, but barely.

The beam singed a few strands of Altiarus' golden hair, to which he paid no mind to. His mind focused in redeeming his recent mistake, he used the still moving form of the Grunt to his advantage and tried a diagonal slash at it's side.
