Captivity. (Open to anyone)

Maria rampently ran through the crowded streets of Kalm. There was some kind of celebration going on, and she was stuck in the middle of the huge gathering of people in the streets. The only safe havens were the alleyways, but they held many things in there, things of which Maria would rather stay away from. "Rapists... Child malesters..." She said, shuddering at the thought. There was no way she'd go down through an alleyway, especially on a night like this!

She soon found herself in a small clearing with people around market stalls. There were some dancers in the middle, and they seemed to be doing jigs, or, known to Maira, Irish Dancing. They were in their twenties, most of the women, and others were just around her age. One of the younger dancers walked up to Maria, when they finished. The girl asked Maria to come and dance with them, but Maria turned them down. "I-I don't know how to dance." She stated, honestly.

"You can dance!" Said the girl. "Just follow our lead, and you'll do fine!" Before Maria could say anything, she was dragged along and was told to follow the steps. She was always a fast learner, and very quickly pulled off the steps. She was a regular Irish Dancer in the eyes of the other women. Maria only now just tried to enjoy herself in all this merry dancing.

Far outside the outskirts of Kalm, Alex stood, calmly surveying the landscape. The way to the town was easy: Just go across the plains. What he tried to figure out his if this girl, Maria, was actually here. His vision he had only 2 days before had shown her with 2 wings, of an Angelic essence. He scanned the area for a group of dancing girls doing the Irish Jig. He found a group of them in the center of the town, and he motioned for Damani and Kaida to follow him.

He quietly and quickly reminded himself to call Dezzy as her old name, Damani, here. He slowly moved towards the town, hopefully with the other two behind him. They would have to go across the huge mass of people to get to the center. Just as he was thinking this, fireworks began to explode high in the air. Then, the question came. "Hey, Damani. Why did you not want to come here? You seemed hesitant about it earlier, and I was just curious."

Kaida followed Alex at a leisurely place. She was familiar with the area, very much so. She had been here a few times when she was younger and still taking her first tour around the world. She smiled at the memories.

Dezzy grumbled, her head buried in her over-sized vest so you could barely see anything but her eyes and messy blond hair. She looked like she hadn't slept in day or bothered to brush her hair, though it looked cute and naturally wavy in its unkempt state. She twitched her eyes to Alex and stuck her hands in her vest pockets. Kaida laughed and looked at Alex. "There's a lot of raw memories here for her... She pretty much grew up here, raising herself. She worked, lived, and went to school here for many years."

Dezzy kicked Kaida as she walked by. "You don't have to tell him my life history," she grumbled, walking toward the festive crowd. She wanted to get lost in the crowd like she used to when she was younger and she used to participate in the festivals. She looked at the little satchel that carried her money, or at least what little there was in there. It would be a perfect time to get some new clothes, while the sales were going for the festival. At least something good would come out of this fiasco. She didn't feel ready to enter the town, but she needed some sleep, new clothes and a shower.

Alex turned back around, facing the town. He could sense the young girl's presence, but in an Angelic manner. Alex felt a pang of Light impact him, and he spoke. "This girl were here for, Maria, is of Angelic decent. She's..." He turned around. "An Angel from Earth!"




Maria had finished her dancing. She was having a wonderful time. Sweat glistened from her forehead, and a thunderous applause grew from the people around her. But, then she felt a powerful pressence of Light within the city limits. She looked towards the outskirts, but only saw wall. She climbed to the top of the statue, and saw the one she'd been waiting for. "It's him!" She cried out in disbelief. "He's here!" The other girls were wondering what she was talking about, and looked in awe as she rushed out of the courtyard.

Running as fast as her legs could take her, sweat forming all over her exposed skin, she moved with all haste to the entrance of the town. Once she reached the gate that looked directly to him, she began sprinting towards her brother. "Brother!" She called out, tears forming in her eyes. "My big brother!"

Finally reaching him, she quickly embraced him, and began to cry. Alex pulled her away, and knelt down. "Who are you?" He asked.

Maria smiled, wiping away some tears, "I'm your true little sister, Alex." Alex believed her, and he gave her the biggest hug he'd ever given anyone. Maria's eyes closed as she held him tightly. "I've finally found you, after 3000 years. My big brother..." Alex still knelt, holding his sister close.

"So, you're my little sister. My true little sister, and not Karri. Oh, in case you were wondering, she's long gone."

"Good. I always disliked her. I'm just so glad we've finally met, face to face."

While Alex and Maria were busy with their sentimental first meeting, four "Darkness Believers" came up behind all four of them. Quickly and quietly, they pulled out their Elemental Stun Guns, and stunned all four of them. All of them would fall to the ground, and be unconsious for several hours. The men dragged their bodies off to their secret location, the "Captivity" HQ.

((OOC: Yeah, kinda long, but this is what this section of the RP's all about. Damani and Kaida wake up first, or that's what I had in mind. Then, after they wake up, they see they're in an unbreakable chamber, the entire building being elementally and Yin-Yang retardent, making all elements and all Angelic and Demonic abilities un-useable. Also, our weapons have been taken away. And, yes, I figured this all out in ten minutes. ^_^ Sounds like a long RP segment, huh?))

Damani blinked, her eyes opening slowly and attempting to adjust to the strange lightly. "Ugh... hell... how much did I drink last night?" she mumbled, sitting up. She looked around at the strange room, then at the sleeping bodies of Kaida, Alex and the little girl Maria. (Wait, that's right... We met the girl on the outskirts of town... Alex's little sister... and then next thing I knew we were sleeping... And what the hell is this place?) she thought to herself, reaching for her swords. "AH!!! WHERE ARE MY SWORDS?!?!!?"

She looked around her, not seeing her precious weapons. Her Materia gun was gone too. She was sore, her clothes were dirtier than before and her hair felt like it hadn't been washed in weeks. (Since when did I start worrying about my hair?) she thought in alarm, going over to Kaida. "Kaida? Kaida? KAIDA!!!" she finally yelled in the girl's ear, shaking her violently. The black haired woman pushed her friend away.

"I'm awake already!" she cried, sitting up and looking around in confusion. She cast a serious glance at Dezzy. "Where are we, Dez?"

"I don't know, but my weapons are gone... all of them... my gun, my swords, my hidden knives and the kunai and shuriken set you gave me as well," Dezzy replied as she checked all the spots where she normally hid her weapons.

"Go wake Alex and the little girl up, I'm going to investigate..." Kaida stood up and started touching walls and trying to cast her senses beyond them. Her powers seemed to be blocked though.

Dezzy shook Alex lightly. "Alex, wake up, we have a MAJOR emergency," she said earnestly, going over to Maria and shaking her lightly as well. "We need to get out of here..."

((OOC: Look at it like an arc in an Anime series... The last one we could call the 'Find Dezzy Arc'... We can think of a name for this one later. We could write fanfics on these! ^^))

Maria was awoken by the gentle shake she had been given. To her surprise, it was that girl, Damani, that Alex took a liking into. Maria snapped awake, and gave a bad look to the other girls. Then, she gently rocked Alex. "Big brother?" She whispered. "You awake?"

Slowly, Alex arose. "Yeah, I'm alright." Surveying where they all were. "Are we in jail?" He could feel his strength had faded. "And, why do I feel so weak?" He looked up to Damani and Kaida, and gradually got himself up.

((OOC: Sorry it's kinda short, but I'm VERY tired.))

Damani stood up, looking around. "There's no jail on the continent that's this high security... Trust me, I've seen my share of jail cells," she told him. She looked at Kaida. "What do you think?"

"Wherever in the seven hells we are my powers are blocked," Kaida growled. It took her a lot to get her angry, but she was clearly angry right now. She leaned up against a wall. "I can't sense anything and none of my powers are working right... If I manage to get anything up it's too weak to be of any use."

Damani sighed, sitting down. "This bothers me. All I remember is being at the edge of Kalm and then I woke up here..." she removed her vest and dusted invisible dirt off her black tank top. She thought hard for a moment before letting out a small groan and massaging her temples. "Damn my head hurts like hell though. Where are we?"

Kaida sighed for a moment. "I've never seen a room like this... If they were smart they would not have put all four of us in a room together... Three angels and a powerful blood magic user," she said. Then suddenly her eyes opened wide. "Unless our powers are completely useless here? But how is that possible? There has to be a reason that they're not worried about us hurting anyone..."

Alex was just about to answer, when he heard a noise at the door. He looked to it, and found 8 men, all dressed in pitch black clothing, holding magic disstabilizers, and approached them. Maria jumped up and ran behind Alex, and tried to hide behind him. Alex pulled her out from behind him, and shook his head. "Let's be smart and play by the rules, for now."

Maria began to cry when they lead her brother away. "Don't worry, Maria. I'll be back to get you, soon." Maria burst into tears, and fell to her knees. Alex heard her, but he also realized that they had taken Kaida along with them. Alex looked down, but felt a strong sensation of pain in his shoulder. Grasping his shoulder, he was thrown into the new cell, still as crappy as the other.

A button was pressed on the wall, and two beds popped out of the walls. Alex stood up, and went over to one of the beds, sitting silently on it. The door closed, and four guards were stationed outside their door. Alex felt the pain grow, and he clenched his arm tighter.

Kaida struggled only a little as they led her to the new cell. The strange men were no gentler with her than they had been with Alex and she let out a low hiss as she hit the wall hard. She walked over to the other bed and sit on it uncomfortably, looking around the room worriedly. She still couldn’t feel anything with her senses, and more than anything she was worried about Maria and Dezzy. “Damn it all,” she said softly, massaging her temple with one hand like she tended to do when under a lot of stress.

She sighed, looking at Alex. “So now not only are we tired, hungry, and dirty from traveling to Kalm, but now we have no idea where we are, we have apparently no use of our powers, and we’re separated from our companions…” she summed it all up, mostly to herself and mostly just to get her frustration into words. “It doesn’t get much worse than this… never mind, I did not just say that, because it can, and knowing our luck, it will…”

She laid down. Despite being asleep until just a few minutes ago, she felt more exhausted than she ever had before. (Must be because my powers are so restrained right now… not to mention I haven’t eaten since the morning of the day we reached Kalm… How long were we asleep for anyways? Why are they separating us? Did they here what I said? DAMMIT!!) she pounded her fist once against the wall, automatically regretting it. The wall was harder than diamond and her hand felt severely bruised from that simple action. Nothing had cracked though, so at least she knew it wasn’t broken.

Damani stood up quickly in alarm, running at one of the men who easily grabbed her arm and held tightly to her until they had gotten Alex and Kaida out of the room. He finally let her go, pushing her down on the ground and following his companions. She sat up, watching the door close helplessly. “No…” she said quietly, getting to her knees. They were now separated, and powerless to boot.

She sighed, quickly moving to Maria’s side. “Hey, don’t worry, kiddo. Alex can take care of himself, and Kaida’s not going to leave him without backup. I don’t know where they took them, but I’m sure we’ll see them soon enough,” she tried to comfort the girl a bit awkwardly. She had never been comforted by anyone that she could remember, and she wasn’t exactly sure how to do it, especially since she knew so very little about the girl. She looked at the door, hoping that her words would be proved true.

Alex fell silent as Kaida hit the wall. The pain in his shoulder had lessened since he was first put in here. Now he had the opportunity to observe where they were. There were a few windows, most on the wall opposite the door, looking out onto long, rolling plains and eventually, to what Alex could make out, a body of water. The windows were in the direction of the fully set sun, so he knew that they were west of Kalm. The water's edge went across the horizon, and that's all Alex could see.

Inside the room, there were the two beds, a table with two chairs around it, ceiling lights, and a ventelation shaft high above them. The walls around them didn't seem right, and then it hit him. He walked over to the wall close to his bed, and put his hand against it. "Magic retardant walls." He said, silently, but loud enough for Kaida to hear. "That's why we can't use our powers. They're blocking out the magic from inside."

Alex walked over to his bed, but didn't sit down just yet. He looked over to Kaida, and thought for a minute. He pulled a chair close to her, and put a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, Kai." He began, comfortingly. "I'll find a way out of here. We'll be back together with Maria and Dezzy soon. I promise." Once he finished this statement, he looked out the window, gazing at the beauty of the outside world.

Maria fell to her knees, crying into her hands. She couldn't bear losing her bid brother right after she had finally met him. When Dezzy came over to her, Maria jumped up, still crying, but looking very mad. "This is YOUR fault!" She screamed. "If you hadn't been here, I wouldn't have been separated from my big brother! That other girl would've stayed here, too! THIS IS YOUR FAULT!" Maria ran to the corner, curled up, and cried into her lap.

"Don't even get close to me." She continued. "I don't ever wanna talk to you again, so just leave me alone!" She couldn't believe what was going on. She was, as she sees it, in jail for no reason, and in a cell with a mean girl who seemed to like her brother. Suddenly, a bed sprang out of the wall near her, and she took the opportunity to jump on it and bury her face in the pillow, covering herself up with the blanket. She still sobbed, no matter what would happen.

Dezzy shook her head and replied bitterly, "Hey, I didn't even want to be in Kalm when we were. I never wanted to be in Kalm again. I have no idea what the hell's going on, and I'm not to blame about any of this."

She turned and leaned up against the opposite wall. She wasn't going to be blamed for something she didn't understand. She rubbed her bare arms, not because it was cold in the room but because she was cold inside. It had been many years since she had last truly cried, but for once she felt like breaking down. She felt naked without her weapons and without her powers. She wasn't sure what to do. She could see that the girl would be little help, and honestly she couldn't blame her. Had she ever had a brother, she's sure she would have been torn apart to be separated from him, especially if she hadn't known him very long. She sighed, looking around the room. There had to be something she could use to get out of this hell hole... She went over to the door, feeling around the edge hopelessly. "Dammit!" she hit her head up against the door a few times and then went and sat heavily on the other bed that had popped out.

Kaida nodded at Alex, even though he wasn't looking at her anymore. She leaned back up against the wall, closing her eyes and began to do the only thing she knew how to do in times of great amounts of trouble; pray. She wished she wasn't trapped in a cell like this, but she figured there was a reason for it, and she would hurt the people who did this to her and her friends. "Dezzy's probably having a panic attack right now. She hates enclosed spaces that she can't easily get out of... She'll take good care of your little sister though," she looked at Alex again. "You're lucky, you know... To be able to see your sister... I wish I could see my two sisters, though I'm the youngest in our little family. The other two are twins... they were born 3000 years before I was and were always so close to each other when I was younger. I was so jealous all the time because I was so young and was being taught by our 'father', for lack of better term to describe our Dragon God."

She suddenly shut her mouth, not wanting to give away any more of her past. Besides, for all she knew there were others listening to her talk right now, and she didn't want anyone else to know.

Maria was startled by what Dezzy had done, but she didn't have the heart to care. But, then she thought about it. All she really wanted was someone to blame for this, when it was really her own fault. "If I hadn't been here in Kalm, this wouldn't have happened." She pulled her head out of the pillows and under the covers. She sat up, wrapping the blanket around herself. "I'm sorry." She said finally.

"I just wanted someone to blame, although it was my own fault. I just wanted someone else to blame for it. I... guess I'll never be as upstanding as my big brother. I've heard so much about him that it makes me feel good just knowing he's alive. I'm not ready to become any part of his life until I get stronger, physically and mentally..." She trailed off from there, and put her arms around her legs.
